A belated happy St. Patrick's Day to you all! I've taken a week 'off' to focus on university applications and coursework, of which unfortunately there is still plenty to do. I've applied to Manchester University (a bit late, but there are still a few months to go before the absolute deadline) to do a joint degree in Linguistics and Spanish, which would involve a year in Spain as my third year out of four. This summer I'm planning to go to Spain to teach English. I've applied to an English camp in Valencia but haven't heard anything back from them yet. The idea is that if my application to Manchester is rejected, I'll apply again next year and we'll spend this year in Barcelona, with me teaching English and Monika as a nanny.

Now for some really good news... Monika got a permanent job on a ward!!! She's been trying to do this since we arrived back from OM in the summer of 2003. She'll be on the same ward as she's been on for the last six months, but this time she'll know where she'll be over the next while and she has more control over her hours. This really is an answer to paryer as she was very nervous about the interview. She will probably post herself some time, but as it's been exactly 302 days since the last post, I wouldn't hold my breath...
