Update from Jonathan

Dear all,
Sorry I haven´t posted any new pictures of my travels in Spain, I was using the company computer before and now I can only go online at internet cafes, which makes it a bit more difficult. However, I am now about an hour south of Alicante, at a horrible urbanised village for English tourists. Apparently, the population of the town increases to 300% during the Summer, or to over 300,000 people, which is quite significant. I´m on a Beach Mission team, or Misiones de Verano, as it´s called here. The structure of the week is quite different to the British and Irish teams, as we only have one children´s programme at midday and then a siesta/break for the afternoon. In the evening we have our main work, which is manning a book table, handing out tracts and talking to people. Actually, I was quite surprised about the amount of positive response to the books and our choir, we have had a number of good conversations and have filled up a full sheet of contacts to pray for. Tonight we´re going to have a talk on Creation/evolution, we´ve been plugging it for the last few days and we´ll be handing out more invitations before the main programme.

On Friday I´ll be leaving the team early to fly to Berlin, where I´ll meet up with Monika and we´ll go to the wedding of our friends Michael and Susannah. We´ll be spending a week in the north of Germany before flying back to Blighty. I haven´t actually properly been home since the middle of June, so I am looking forward to sleeping on my own bed with a real pillow (ie not a camping mat with a jumper) and also to seeing Monika, who I haven´t seen for almost five weeks now.

Sorry this post isn´t particularly interesting, but I wanted to give an update to those who probably won´t get an email from me.
