Thursday, October 26, 2006IE7 vs. Firefox 2![]() ![]() Firefox 2.0 and IE 7 go head to head on the BBC wesite. Firefox wins, of course, although more narrowly than before the update. Microsoft seems to have done a lot more to improve their appearance and features, while Firefox doesn't really look that different to the way it was before (although annoyingly, some of my favourite extensions don't work yet on the update). I still don't see anything to lure me away from the Firefox fold, even though IE has done a lot more work than Firefox to improve itself (which basically means, it now looks and acts more like Firefox has for years). The new security features are welcome, although I can't really comment on them as I haven't seen them in action yet. Interestingly, download times seem to have improved on the Firefox update. |
